Early Voting Details:
📍 Location: Early voting will take place at “early voting sites.” An early voting site will operate similarly to an Election Day polling location but can be set up to serve voters from more than one city or township. Early voting sites can also serve more voters than an Election Day polling location can serve.
🗓️ Dates: Saturday, February 17 through Sunday, February 25 (Some communities will offer early voting for additional days and hours)
⏰ Hours: Early voting must be offered for at least 8 hours each day early voting is offered. (Some communities will offer early voting for additional days and hours.)

🪪 What to bring: All voters will be asked for ID when voting in person. Approved photo IDs include:
Michigan driver’s license or state ID
Driver’s license or personal identification card issued by another state
Federal or state government-issued photo identification
U.S. passport
Military ID with photo
Student identification with photo from a high school or accredited institution of higher learning
Tribal identification card with photo
If you do not have an ID, you can still vote.
If this happens, expect a poll worker to ask you to sign a form before you vote that explains you didn’t have an ID. Your ballot will be included with all others and counted on Election Day.

Subject: Vote from Home with a Mail-In Ballot
Hi [Recipient’s Name],
In Michigan, all registered voters can vote by mail using an absentee ballot without an excuse or a reason.
Here’s what you need to do to vote from home this election season:
1. Request Your Mail-In Ballot: Make sure to request a mail-in ballot plenty of time in advance! Ballots are sent out to voters starting 40 days before election day! You can request a ballot:
Online – Registered voters can request an absentee ballot online through our absentee voter request form before 5 p.m. the Friday before the election.
Call your city or township clerk and ask that an application be mailed to you.
Download an application to return by mail or in person to your local city or township clerk.
In person at your local city or township clerk’s office.
Within two weeks of election day, to avoid possible postal delays, the Michigan Secretary of State recommends making your request in person at your local city or township clerk office. You’ll be able to fill out and submit your ballot while there.
2. Complete Your Ballot: Fill out your ballot carefully, following the instructions provided.
3. Return Your Ballot:Your completed absentee ballot should be received by your city or township clerk by 8 p.m. on Election Day. You can submit by mail, or by hand-delivering the ballot to your clerk’s office or their drop box. If you are returning your ballot within two weeks of election day, we recommend hand-delivering your ballot to avoid possible postal delays.
