Campus Vote Project is dedicated to supporting increased access to the democratic process, specifically highlighting and tackling the barriers that young people and students face. Learn more about all of the programs we have to offer and see how you can get involved!

Past Programs

Democracy Fellows

CVP launched the Democracy Fellowship program in 2014. Since then, CVP has graduated 186 student leaders. Democracy Fellows play a critical role in motivating their peers, faculty, and administrators to take part in nonpartisan democratic engagement activities on their campuses.

Every day they talk to their peers about registering to vote, educate them on election laws and what’s on the ballot, and make sure students at their campus are ready to engage with democracy. Fellows are not only engaging their peers in the next upcoming election. We’ve challenged our fellows to implement programs on each of their campuses that will remain long after they graduate and make an impact on students for years to come.

Now Seeking

We are seeking students who are self starters, democratically engaged, politically interested & willing to help peers register to vote and engage in dialogue around democracy.

HBCU Legacy
Initiative

Campus Vote Project’s HBCU Legacy Initiative aims to identify and address barriers to student voting on HBCU campuses, and Black student voting on predominantly white campuses, through various methods of research and the creation of new and innovative resources.

Voter Friendly Campus

The Voter Friendly Campus designation helps administrators develop a strategy to engage students and set clear goals so a path can be created in advance of upcoming elections. These activities can be institutionalized for years to come, keeping students engaged as they enter, and move through their time at school.
